Triton Audio Phantom Blocker is aptly named. This handy accessory blocks phantom power, while leaving your audio signal intact. This in-line device can block phantom power on both the male and female sides of its XLR connector, all while permitting your audio signal to travel without restriction in either direction. Our primary use for Phantom Blocker here at Sweetwater is to safeguard our ribbon microphones against damage. That said, it can also protect sensitive vintage mic preamps and balanced device outputs, and it can prevent input transformer damage caused by shorts in unbalanced TRS to XLR cables.
